چکیده
Introduction: F-18 Fluorodeoxyglucose Positron Emission Tomography (18F-FDG PET/CT) is a hybrid non-invasive imaging tool that integrates PET and CT into single device. It used to detect measure metabolic activity in cancer cell and, hence, can provide anatomic information. 18F-FDG PET/CT useful for the detection of loco-regional recurrence, distant metastases, monitoring therapy response patients with rectal carcinoma. This study was done see usefulness follow-up evaluation Materials Methods: retrospective division National Institute Nuclear Medicine & Allied Sciences (NINMAS) between January 2021 December 2022. A total 26 carcinoma, requested an FDG PET-CT scan were enrolled this study. Image findings analyzed properly documented predesigned format evaluate results. Results: Total average age 47.69 follow up period 6 months 5 years Histologically adenocarcinoma seen 21 patients, four mucinous, two papillary, carcinoid tumor found one patient. On imaging, no metastases 17 (65.4%) out 9 (34.6%) patients. Among them (44.5%) had lung, (22.2%) lymph nodes, (11.1%) liver node (%11.1) skeletal peritoneal metastases. No significant association observed histopathology or treatment protocol. CEA higher lower those without. Conclusion: effective carcinoma as it accurately locoregional recurrence Bangladesh J. Follow-up or Surveillance (18)F-FDG PET/CT and Survival Outcome in Lung Cancer Patients.
UNLABELLED The value of performing follow-up PET/CT imaging more than 6 mo after the conclusion of therapy-either as a routine practice or because of clinically suspected recurrence-is not well established. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the added value of follow-up PET/CT to the clinical assessment and survival outcome of lung cancer patients. METHODS This was a retrospective stud...
متن کاملDetection of chordoma recurrence by F-18 FDG-PET/CT
Background: Despite the relative success of surgical resection followed by proton, proton/photon, or conventional radiotherapy in terms of recurrence-free survival, chordomas are still associated with a high rate of recurrence. To our knowledge there are only very few reported cases of this rare tumor detected by F-18 FDG-PET. Materials and Methods: In this case we show the significanc...
متن کاملF-18 FDG PET/CT Imaging of Eccrine Sweat Gland Carcinoma of the Scrotum with Extensive Regional and Distant Metastases
Eccrine carcinoma is an extremely rare malignant skin cancer arising from eccrine sweat glands with a high metastatic potential. It mainly occurs in the elderly, with equal incidence in both sexes. It usually spreads to regional lymph nodes, with liver, lungs, and bones being the most common sites of distant metastasis. Because of tumor rarity, little is known about the value of F18- FDG PET/CT...
متن کاملAdrenocortical Oncocytic Carcinoma and Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma Incidentally Detected in an Asymptomatic Patient by F-18 FDG PET/CT
F-18 FDG is the most widely used tracer in molecular imaging and it is applied for many purposes mainly in malignant diseases. Incidental finding are common in FDG-PET/CT imaging and includes benign and malignant lesions. Among the rare tumors , adrenal oncocytomas are uncommon findings and incidental findings of thyroid malignancies are not rare. Oncocytoma is a rare adrenocortical tumor and m...
متن کاملRenal Cell Carcinoma with Paraneoplastic Manifestations: Imaging with CT and F-18 FDG PET/CT
We present a case of renal cell carcinoma with prominent inflammatory and paraneoplastic manifestations. The initial CT detection of renal malignancy and subsequent post-therapeutic F-18 FDG PET/CT diagnosis of occult osseous metastasis were based on the patient's anemia, thrombocytosis and abnormally increased levels of serum C-reactive protein.
